Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Overview
Meeting Bingo ("the app") is a real-time multiplayer bingo game for use during work meetings. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
We collect the minimum data necessary to run the game. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Information We Collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:
- Your Google account ID — used to uniquely identify you
- Your display name — pre-filled as a nickname suggestion
- Your email address — shown in the settings screen only
- Your Google profile picture — shown in the game header
We also store game data you create:
- Your chosen nickname — permanent and unique across all players
- Your bingo card state during active games
- A timestamped record of games you have won, used for win counts and the leaderboard
How We Use Your Data
- To create and identify your player account across sessions and devices
- To enforce nickname uniqueness so each player has a distinct identity
- To track your win history and display it on the global leaderboard
- To sync your bingo card in real time with other players in your room
- To display your profile picture in the game interface
We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or automated decision-making.

Data Retention
Your account data (nickname and Google ID link) is retained indefinitely so your nickname remains reserved and your win history is preserved.
Game room data (bingo cards and marked tiles) is kept for the duration of the active session and may be cleaned up periodically.
The global leaderboard shows only the last 8 hours of wins; the underlying records are kept longer for your personal win count.
Cookies & Local Storage
The app uses browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) to remember your preferences (theme, sound settings) and your active game session. No tracking cookies are set by the app itself.
Google AdSense may set cookies for ad personalisation. You can opt out via Google Ad Settings.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Object to or restrict the processing of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time by signing out
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority
Children's Privacy
Meeting Bingo is intended for adults in professional settings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
